Steps in using the component method. ☺☻♥♦♣♠•◘○☺☻♥♦♣♠•◘○
1. Determine the theta(Given angle of the triangle).
2. The side opposite the theta is the opposite side(O).
3. Side adjacent to the theta will be the adjacent side(A).
4. Determine the vectors using SOH-CAH-TOA.
•SOH•
S=Sine
O=Opposite
H=Hypothenuse
-Formula is:
SinTheta =
Opposite
-----------
Hypotenuse
•CAH•
C=Cosine
A=Adjacent
H=Hypothenuse
-Formula is:
CosTheta =
Adjacent
-----------
Hypotenuse
•TOA•
T=Tangent
O=Opposite
A=Adjacent
-Formula is:
TanTheta =
Opposite
-----------
Adjacent
Death Note
physics class is never complete w/o a set of exercises or even worse a quiz! i tell you...
Death Note
in my first physics class we were assigned to research about the oh-so-famous SOH-CAH-TOA. at first it thought "what the hell is this soh cah toa? Haha, well, better find out." i was surprised that if you use this, you could get sides and angles of a right triangle just by a given side and an angle.at first, i dunno how to formulate it but i became used to it now. wow, surprising i think
Death Note
1. Give the legend of the ratio of the measurement that you will use.
2. Measure and draw the vectors.
3. Draw a line from the last vector to the point of origin.
4. Measure and get the direction or magnitude of the resultant vector.
